LOCAL CENTRE

There are already many community facilities in the area however, the area around the Bridgewater Pottery, the former Imperial Pottery site and Eastwood Road has the potential to become a mixed-use local centre for the community. Elements include:

• converting heritage buildings such as Bridgewater Pottery, Trent Bathrooms and the old Joiners Square Primary School for living and small scale complementary leisure uses such as a café bar
  
• improving the network of squares and pedestrian streets around Bridgewater Pottery, Eastwood Road and the canal bridges water activities on the canal, such as boat moorings and a small marina
  
• the new Joiners Square Primary School at Hampton Street
