There is already a well laid out ‘grid’ of terraced housing and community buildings immediately to the north and south west of City Waterside.

New housing will complement this and City Waterside will become home to a new generation of urban professionals. Attracted by the convenience, heritage, transport links, greenness and buzz of urban Stoke-on-Trent, these “knowledge” workers will drive future development of the economy in North Staffordshire.

In addition, there is a need for housing that meets the needs of existing residents, including affordable housing. Increased densities and new housing types are key to success. In particular, there is demand for family houses, apartments and housing suitable for older people.
