
THE OPPORTUNITY
Many of the canalside factories have now been demolished and the land is available for redevelopment. Other historic factories are empty or underused and could be imaginatively converted for residential use. Some businesses are working from poor quality buildings and could benefit from relocation - freeing up the land for mainly residential uses. Older housing surrounding City Waterside is a priority for regeneration using both refurbishment and clearance. By taking an integrated approach to these opportunities we will transform the immediate area and bring substantial benefits to the Stoke-on-Trent city region to investors and to the community.
